Can do timerRec from remote but not from Android app?

I have attached a WD harddisk to my TV and I can do timer recordings when using TV remote control. But when using Sony sideview android app (where I can adjust TV channels, change volume etc) I can not program timer recordings - app says "No hard disk attached". This message appears both when at home in same wifi network as well as when connected to internet from other place.

I want to record from Swedish free channels sent by Boxer via DVB-T network.

One step closer but still not solved. In setting in the app (settings -> account settings) I found that I had to be logged in (using fb, google or Sony entertainment network) to do timer recs. After logging in with my Sony account and try to do a timer rec or timer reminder - first times I tried it hnged in "connecting" but now I made a timerRec with app and later I will know if recording succeeded.
